SPORTSCARDZA

🛡️

Is it safe? Yes.

You've been burned by online scams before — we all have. So here's the plain truth about SportsCard: you can't be scammed on a protected purchase. Here's exactly why.

You never send money to the seller — or to us. A licensed escrow company holds your payment, and the seller is only paid once you confirm your card arrived.

How your money is protected, step by step

  1. 1

You pay — but the seller gets nothing yet

Your payment goes to TradeSafe, a licensed South African escrow company. It's held safely. The seller can't touch it.

  2. 2

    The seller ships your card

They post it with tracking. They know the money is secured and waiting, so they're motivated to send it fast.

  3. 3

You get the card and check it

Happy? Confirm you received it. Not happy — damaged, not as described, or it never came? Raise a dispute instead and your money stays protected while TradeSafe steps in.

  4. 4

Only now is the seller paid

The moment you confirm, TradeSafe releases the money to the seller's bank. Not a second before. That's the whole point.

🛒 If you're buying

Your money is held until the card is in your hands. No card, or not as described? You're refunded. Simple.

💰 If you're selling

The buyer's payment is secured before you post. Once they confirm delivery, your full price is paid straight to your bank. You keep 100%.

Why you can believe us

Who's behind SportsCard

Hi — I'm Anandré Groenewald, a South African collector, and I built SportsCard ZA. I was tired of the same thing you are: great cards out there, but no safe way to trade them locally without risking a scam. So I made one.

You're not being asked to trust me with your money — you never send it to me. A licensed escrow company holds it. I'm just the person who built you a safe place to trade, and I'm here if anything ever goes wrong. Reach me directly, any time:

A real name, a real number, a real address (39 Delport Avenue, Oatlands, Krugersdorp). That's the opposite of a scam.

Straight answers to the scary questions

What if the seller takes my money and doesn't send the card?

They can't. The seller never touches your money until you've received the card and confirmed it. If they don't ship it, the escrow is cancelled and you're refunded.

What if my card arrives damaged or not as described?

Don't confirm receipt — raise a dispute. Your payment stays held while TradeSafe mediates, so your money is protected until it's sorted fairly.

As a seller, how do I know I'll get paid?

The buyer's payment is secured in escrow before you post, so you know it's there. Once they confirm delivery, TradeSafe pays your full price to your bank — usually within 1–2 working days.

Is this a real business?

Yes — Sportscard Trading (Pty) Ltd, a registered SA company, POPIA-compliant, with a real address and a founder you can reach by name.
